The Immigration Office (IO) is the largest directorate-general of the Federal Public Service Interior (FPS Interior). It is specifically responsible for applying Belgian government policy on managing migratory flows. The OE is responsible for applying the law of 15 December 1980 and the Royal Decree of 8 October 1981 on the entry, residence, establishment and removal of foreign nationals.

A Director General heads the IO. The various powers and responsibilities of our organisation are divided between ten departments. If you want more details about the different departments below you can read the text below (at the moment, it is only available in French or in Dutch).
